DREAM Class of 2026 Graduation

For this year’s DREAM Technical Academy Class of 2026, a common theme of resilience resonated throughout the graduation ceremony on the morning of Saturday, May 23, as students dressed in long black robes proudly graced the stage of the Willmar Education and Arts Center. Congrats Class of 2026!
Students clean up Willmar for Service Learning Day!

Students took part in Service Learning Day, diving into a variety of projects around our community. Our students spent time cleaning and enhancing the beautiful trails at the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center, picked up litter along Lakeland Drive, and helped spruce up the Barn Theatre. We also lent a hand at Hawk Creek Animal Shelter and helped remove trees for Pheasants Forever. It was a wonderful day of service, teamwork, and giving back to our community!
Last Day of 25-26 School Year!

DREAM Technical Academy celebrated the end of the school year with an exciting field trip to Games Lake on Wednesday. Students enjoyed a day filled with fun activities, from playing games on the beach to trying their luck at fishing. They also had the chance to kayak and canoe around the lake, all while soaking up the sun. It was the perfect way to wrap up a successful year!
Students take part in MNprov Workshop!

DREAM Technical Academy students had an incredible opportunity to participate in a teamwork motivational training session led by Rick Rassier! With a focus on building valuable life and teamwork skills, Rick engaged everyone in a fun and interactive way, proving that learning can be both enjoyable and impactful. Students left the session inspired and equipped with new strategies to collaborate effectively in all areas of their lives. Thank you, Rick, for an unforgettable experience!
DREAM Prom 2026

DREAM Technical Academy Student Council hosted its enchanting annual Prom celebration! With the whimsical theme of Alice in Wonderland, the Willmar Convention Center was transformed into a magical land.
As the music played, students danced the night away, creating unforgettable memories in this dreamlike setting. A big thank you to everyone who made this night possible!
Spirit Week Fun!

The Student Council led the DREAM student body in a fantastic series of Spirit Week games and activities to wrap up the week and build excitement for Prom on April 25!
From flamingo croquet to a still life painting contest, musical chairs, and more, laughter filled the halls as students participated in these fun challenges. A shoutout to everyone who brought their spirit and enthusiasm! Let’s keep that energy going as we look forward to Prom night!
DREAMers go to Washington D.C.

Over Spring Break, students traveled to Washington, D.C.! They explored tons of incredible sights, learned about the awesome history of our country, and celebrated the USA’s 250th anniversary! From the stunning cherry blossoms to the inspiring Washington Monument, every moment was full of excitement and discovery!
Students get courtside with Rudy Gobert

What an incredible opportunity for DREAMers as they headed to Minneapolis to watch the Timberwolves play! Before the game, students were able to head courtside for a meet-and-greet with Rudy Gobert of the Timberwolves.
It was an inspiring experience that students will remember for years to come!
Projects shine at annual Presentation Night

What an incredible evening at DREAM Technical Academy's annual Presentation Night! The energy in the room was electric as students showcased their hard work, while families and community members rallied to support them. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended and made the event such a special celebration!
DREAMers place at Ridgewater College Skills Fest

Our students showcased their talents in a variety of categories, including Agriculture, Auto Careers (Auto Body & Auto Technology), Nursing, Veterinary Technology, and Welding. We are thrilled to announce that DREAM sophomore Kaylee Hines took home FIRST PLACE overall in the Veterinary Technology division, winning a $1,000 scholarship per year if she chooses to attend Ridgewater College. Additionally, Zeke Sombke secured THIRD PLACE in the Nursing category!
Students craft Wood Duck houses

DREAMers learned how to construct wood duck houses with the talented instructor Charlie Koch from the Prairie Pothole Conservation Association. A big thank you to Pioneer PBS in Granite Falls for donating the kits! These houses will be placed throughout the Willmar community to support our local wildlife. Proud to see our community coming together for conservation!
Students celebrate 'Day of Hope'
10/24/25
DREAM students and staff participated in the annual Day of Hope Challenge with schools all across the US. Students had the opportunity to participate in creating a mural, Minute to Win it games, Bingo, watching movies about hope and ending the day with a tug-o-war challenge where the staff team was the champions!
The Day of Hope is observed to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote positive conversations surrounding emotional well-being. It serves as a reminder for individuals to seek support, share their stories, and foster a sense of community and understanding.
